Five Cozy Rainy Day Reads
Welcome To The Reading Room! I’m so happy you’re here!
It’s been a rainy day here in my tiny part of the world, so I figured it was a great idea to make my first post! Days like today make me want to snuggle up in a cozy blanket and read a book, so I thought I would share some of my Cozy Rainy Day reads with you. Just remember, my vibes may not be the same as yours and that is totally okay! We are all here to share our love of reading and to build a community together..
The Wish by Nicholas Sparks
Yes, Nicholas Sparks is probably best known for ripping your heart out and stomping on it ha, but there is something about this novel that brings me such comfort. I make no promises that you won't shed any tears, but I do promise that your heart will be full at the end of the story.
Blue Sky Gone by J.S. Farmer
The imagery and descriptiveness of the writing made me feel like I could see everything that was happening. Again, I make no promises that you won’t shed tears, but you will have a deeper understanding of an important event in history.
Summer Island by Kristin Hannah
Honestly, I have no words to describe this masterpiece, so I am just going to leave you with a quote from the book.
“As mothers and daughters, we are connected with one another. My mother is the bones of my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is in my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong. She is in the beating of my heart.”
Seriously guys, TEARS
The Seven Year Slip by Ashley Poston
This book really helped me at a time when I was in the deepest trenches of grief. A forever comfort read.
The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton
“Stay Gold, Ponyboy.”
